Shamiana opens in Yas Mall and Mega Mall

05 March 2015, Dubai, UAE: Hotbrands International (HBI), who hold the distinction of opening the first shopping mall food court restaurant in the UAE, has launched two more outlets of its flagship brand, Shamiana, at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi and Mega Mall in Sharjah to further enhance its position as a leader in the multi-concept ethnic food services industry in the region.

Shamiana offers the finest in Indian fast food with a tantalising menu that includes s variety of curries, delicious biryanis and succulent kebabs. The quick service restaurant has a food court format that is ideally suited for quick lunches, informal meetings and family gatherings.The concept has also recently added a variety of street food to its menu, including some traditional Tawa favourites.

HBI opened its first outlet in Dubai 23 years ago, and has now grown to more than 50 outlets in the GCC, India and United States. HBI is particularly well known for its Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) format.  Currently, HBI’s QSR concepts include Shamiana (Indian cuisine), Magic Wok (Chinese), Santino’s (Italian), Sala Thai (Thai) and Sugoi! (Japanese), which reflect the flavours and cultures of the countries they represent.  Its Casual Dining Restaurant (CDR) concept features Haru, which serves Japanese Robatayaki cuisine. HBI has also opened its first Fast Casual Restaurant (FCR) concept, Wok Chi, which serves Chinese cuisine, in the United States.
