Anniversary special features discounts and prizes during week-long promotion

Dubai, 07 April 2015: Japanese casual dining restaurant Haru will be celebrating the first anniversary of its outlet at Dubai Silicon Oasis with a fun-filled promotion featuring an unlimited brunch menu, tempting discounts and exciting prizes and giveaways for foodies and families.

Haru, which is known for its Robatayaki cooking experience, is one of the home-grown brands operated by UAE-based Hotbrands International,  a multi-concept ethnic food leader in the GCC region. HBI opened Haru at Dubai Silicon Oasis on 10 April 2014 to meet the increasing need for a refreshing food concept at this bustling residential community.

“Haru’s 1st Birthday Brunch” will take place on 10th April, with an offer that celebrates every day since the beginning of its operation. Normally priced at AED 150, the brunch will offer a discount of AED 36.50 which can be availed on this special day. The menu will offer the diners a wonderful experience of Japanese cuisine, including delicious appetizers such as miso soups and pan fried gyoza, through to the traditionally cooked Robatayaki grilled fish and meat selections, and obviously not forgetting the freshly prepared sushi and sashimi platters. With side orders of wonderfully flavoured rice and noodle dishes to compliment and the offer of being able to revisit any dish on the menu at any time, makes this an attractive offer to all Japanese food enthusiasts and beginners alike… however, try to leave room for dessert!

Additionally, HBI has also launched a Facebook app offering foodies the chance to win one of 10 vouchers worth AED 365 each that can be redeemed at either one of the Haru branches; Dubai Silicon Oasis or Green Community.

Further, as a birthday treat, Haru will be giving away traditional Daruma dolls to families visiting its restaurant at Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Cheryle Treanor, spokesperson  for HBI, said:”Our chef at Haru has created the most delicious menu to celebrate Haru’s first anniversary. The casual dining experience and the excellent service that Haru offers will give you an opportunity to steer this birthday brunch into a truly memorable eating out experience. We also wanted to extend a token of our appreciation to our customers who have supported us throughout the first 12 months and we are looking forward to serving up memorable dining experiences in years to come”.

Haru features an open cooking concept, in full view of customers, with the traditional Japanese grills served as small eats, whilst retaining elements such as tempura, sushi, sashimi and teppanyaki dishes.

HBI opened its first outlet in Dubai 23 years ago, and has now grown to more than 50 outlets in the GCC, India and United States. HBI is particularly well known for its Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) format.  Currently, HBI’s QSR concepts include Shamiana (Indian cuisine), Magic Wok (Chinese), Santino’s (Italian), Sala Thai (Thai) and Sugoi! (Japanese), which reflect the flavours and cultures of the countries they represent.  Its Casual Dining Restaurant (CDR) concept features Haru, which serves Japanese Robatayaki cuisine. HBI has also opened its first Fast Casual Restaurant (FCR) concept, Wok Chi, which serves Chinese cuisine, in the United States.
